‘Networking on steroids’ for newly relocated

Tech Valley Connect, a North Greenbush nonprofit group that helps newly relocated families settle into the area, has been so successful that the National Science Foundation is looking to replicate it in other areas of the country.

Tech Valley Connect was established as a pilot program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy in 2009, with funding from NSF and the Elsevier Foundation in New York City. It has since turned into an independent nonprofit agency that operates under a fee-for-service model paid for by companies that hire people from out of town.
